Adorable Simba is a gem of a dog! If you are looking for a loyal friend who never wants to leave your side, Simba is your girl. She is extremely affectionate and would love nothing more than to sit beside you all day.
Health History: Recent teeth cleaning with 9 extractions. Removal of a benign fatty lump on her backside.
Simba was rescued from a dog cafe. The cafe shut down 2 months ago. Because of her socialization at the cafe, Siimba is very friendly with both cats and dogs. She has also been an amazing work at home buddy for her foster. Her foster reports that Simba is the happiest dog, always wagging her tail.
While Simba is an older girl, she also has a young streak to her. She will chase balls and loves to p
Simba really enjoys her walks. She is not reactive to animals on leash. Simba is quite confident on leash. She also does really well in the car so she would be happy to tag along on any adventures you might want to take her on!
Food: Simba loves her food and treats! She is eating Royal Canin kibble.
Simba has allergies and takes Apoquel once a day. The cost of this medication is approx. $90 a month.
Sleeping arrangements: Simba sleeps in her crate throughout the night.
Barks: Rarely. She will bark when the doorbell rings, but we suspect it's because the other dogs in the home start it. She never barks in the yard.
Housetraining: Yes. She thrives on routine so if you take her out regularly, she doesn't have accidents.
Ideal family: An ideal home for Simba would be with people who are home most of the time. She is a Velcro dog and we want her to enjoy her golden years with the people she loves as much as possible. Her new home should be calm and full of love. It will also be important to have a family that can provide her a stable routine.
Simba is being fostered in the Lower Mainland of BC. If you are interested in her and think she would be a good fit for your family, please fill out an application. If the rescue determines you would be a good match for Simba, we will call you to arrange a meet and greet.
